Mike Meynell will be giving us an introduction to Astrophotography. For more details about the evening see the attached. There will be a follow-up outing on the evening of 3 March to Cudham. Watch this space for more details.
Next week (19 February) Steve Jones (our President) will be presenting “South Africa: People, Places and Wildlife”.

Barbican Conservatory – Sunday 15 January – noon to 5:00pm – Free
Deep in the concrete jungle of Barbican Centre sits a real jungle, of sorts. Barbican Conservatory is the second biggest conservatory in London, it only opens to the public on Sundays, and is home to over 2,000 species of tropical flowers and plants, as well as fish and terrapins. Don’t miss the cactus room upstairs
Winter Lights at Canary Wharf – Monday 16 to Friday 27 January – 4:00pm to 9:00pm
30 spectacular light installations throughout Canary Wharf
These sculptures, structures and installations are the creations of some of the most innovative artists and designers around today, presenting work in different forms of light technology. Together the artists represent four continents across the world with installations that are interactive, performance art or visual spectacles to be admired from afar.
Bromley is competing in the first SLF Semi-Final on Friday 20 January at Selsdon Camera Club.
