What’s on at the Club tonight and soon
Tonight is our panel competition on the theme of “music”, which will be judged by Philip Pound. As next Thursday is Maundy Thursday there will not be a club meeting and on 24 April we will be looking at some more prints and slides from the club archives.
Annual Exhibition
Can those members who won cups and shields last year please return them to the Club as soon as possible nicely polished and in their boxes.
Club Outing – 12 April
Just a reminder that the garden we will be visiting is Riverhill Himalayan Gardens (Riverhill, Sevenoaks, TN15 0RR – http://www.riverhillgardens.co.uk). There are several different gardens and sculptures and somewhere to have lunch and cream teas! We are planning to meet at 11:00 am at the entrance. Entrance fee £7.50 (£6.75 for seniors). Directions can be found on the website. If you are planning on coming please put your name on the list on the noticeboard.
Friendly Competition Bromley vs Bexleyheath on 7 April
Unfortunately Bexleyheath sought revenge from last year and beat Bromley in all categories.
Larter Cup competition at West Wickham – Tuesday 15 April
Bromley v Beckenham v West Wickham. 8:00 pm at Medhurst Hall, Sussex Road, West Wickham, BR4 0IX
Finals Day for SLF at Beckenham – Saturday 26 April – 1:00 – 6:00 pm
St John’s Church Hall, Eden Park Ave. Beckenham BR3 3JN – Tickets £5 to include tea or coffee and biscuits. Full details can be found on the on SLF website events page: http://www.fslps.org.uk/events.htm . They need volunteers to help set up the halls in the morning. As well as preparing the main hall for the event, the exhibition has to be hung in the middle hall and they need as many helpers as possible. If you are able to help please go along from 10:00 am onwards. They also need volunteers to help clear up at the end of the event.
PAGB Awards for Photographic Merit – Saturday 26and Sunday 27 April
at Oakwood School, Tonbridge Road, Maidstone starting at 10:00 am . Tickets and Lunches still available to purchase via the Website with PAYPAL facility. It’s a great opportunity to see the process of gaining a PAGB Distinction and view hundreds of stunning images. If you can’t attend please support the KCPA by buying tickets for the Grand Draw, the money raised will be used to fund future KCPA activities.
