On 30 June 2019, Tower Bridge marks its 125th anniversary with celebrations taking place inside and outside of the Bridge throughout the entire weekend. To mark the occasion, entry to Tower Bridge will be specially priced at £1.25 on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June for all. Visitors will also receive a one-off specially designed souvenir bookmark to keep, which gives the holder £5 off when purchasing the official Tower Bridge book in the Gift Shop. Please note, tickets cannot be booked in advance so make sure you arrive early. Costumed performers will populate the Bridge during the anniversary weekend, re-enacting scenes which (might have) happened during the construction and in the run-up to the Bridge’s opening. Victors will meet historic figures including the Bridge’s first (and only) Indian engineer, the divers who dug the foundations beneath the Thames and the Bridge’s first female employees. Discover a new photographic exhibition in Tower Bridge’s high-level Walkways showcasing rare archival images and new photography taken from the official 125th anniversary book, illustrating this best-loved landmark.

Safari Holiday
“My partner and I (Tim Miller <tmiller1913@hotmail.com) are local photography enthusiasts, looking for like minded people to join us on a photography orientated safari. We are looking for 4 individuals to make up a party of six. From experience this would be the ideal number, giving good access and space in the vehicle and allowing us as a group to decide how much time we spend in a particular area. This is an open top vehicle and we will have our own personal guide and tracker. We are proposing a 7 night South African Safari with two daily game drives, morning and evening. Each game drive is approximately 3 hours. (0600-0900 and 1600-1900). We will be staying in a privately owned game reserve close to Kruger National Park. The reserve has extensive game animals, Elephants, Lions etc giving good photo opportunities. Full board in luxury accommodation, including local wines, beers, and spirits, etc. Drinks and snacks provided whilst on game drives. Also included is a full day in Kruger National Park, breakfast and lunch included (early morning start) arriving back in time for evening meal. We would like to travel in September / October 2019 subject to availability. We would welcome any enquires and would be happy to visit your camera club to discuss further.”
