What’s coming up tonight and next week at the Club

Tonight is a members evening featuring David Pollard on his India travels and Greg Gillies who will be explaining the ins and outs of Facebook.  It is also hand in for Round 2 of the Colour Print competition. Next week Round 2 of the Colour Print competition will be judged by Mick White.

 

Next Camera Club Outing – Saturday 16 November 2013

If you fancy taking photos at a horse racing meeting, please put your name on the list at the Club this evening and come along to Lingfield.

 

Christmas Dinner – Monday 16 December 2013

This has been booked at Ferrari’s in East Street, Bromley.  If you would like to attend please put your name on the list on the notice board and let Jeff King have a deposit of £10.  There will be some menus available at the Club this evening.

Vintage Cars on display in Regent Street – Saturday 2 November 2013 10:30 to 4:00

A free to view London motor show in one of the Capital’s most famous streets. Displaying over 300 cars spanning 125 years of motoring from the earliest 19th century veterans to the 21st century cars of the future. Regent Street will be separated into 5 distinct zones and will be closed to regular traffic creating a relaxed and informal atmosphere with easy access to car displays, exhibitor stands and on stage entertainment.

London to Brighton Car Rally – Sunday 3 November 2013 – 7:00 start in Hyde Park (Apsley Gate) and finish around 8:30 am

Some 500 vintage motor cars take part in this annual road rally between London and Brighton. All participating vehicles retain an average 20mph speed along the 60 mile route and will start to arrive at the formal finish in Preston Park, Brighton after 3 hours from the first car starting.

The following are just some of the popular viewing locations: The START in Hyde Park – Apsley Gate, Hyde Park Corner, Westminster Bridge, Croydon – Old Town bridge, Crawley – Old Town Centre,  Along B2115/B2114 via Cuckfield, Along B2036 via Burgess Hill, Along A273 via Clayton Hill, the Formal Finish – Preston Park Brighton, the Ceremonial FINISH – Madeira Drive Brighton.

 

London Independent Photography 25th Annual Exhibition – Sunday 3 November 2013 – 11:00 am to 7:00 pm

This year, London Independent Photography is celebrating its milestone 25th Annual Exhibition. Each year this is the highlight of the group’s calendar – a must-see event for anyone interested and involved with photography in London. The exhibition is on at The Strand Gallery, 32 John Adam Street, WC2N 6BP and showcases more than 100 images from 65 photographers.
