Medieval Siege Society – Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September 2013 – 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
The Society is a group of living history enthusiasts who will be re-enacting the conflicts and campaign life of the high medieval period at Cudham Shaws Campsite, 144 Cudham Lane North, Cudham, TN14 7QT – adults: £7.50 in advance, £10 on the day.

Councours of Elegance Classic Car Event – Thursday 5, Friday 6 and Saturday 7 September 2013
A spectacular event will be taking over the gardens of Marlborough House, Marlborough Road, St.James’s, SW1A 1BS. This stylish pageant showcases 60 of the rarest and most historic cars in the world. With specially constructed facilities serving gourmet food and drink, the Concours event isn’t just for motor-enthusiasts but promises to be a fantastically memorable day out for the whole family. St. Katharine’s Dock Classic Boat Festival – Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September 2013 – also weekend of 14/15 September – 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
If you love classic vessels, St Katharine Docks is the place to be as boats including Gloriana — the Queen’s rowbarge, the Massey Shaw and a selection of Dunkirk Little Ships are open for guided tours. There’s also gourmet food from the St Katharine Docks Good Food Market, Sea Cadet displays and more.

The Great River Race – Saturday 7 September 2013 – starts at 12 noon
London’s ‘river marathon’, a spectacular boat raceup the Thames that attracts over 300 crews from all over the globe and every level of competitor, from those who enjoy fun, fancy dress and charity stunts to serious sports people who are there to win. Along the river from London Docklands to Ham in Surrey.
Photographic Competition
The Construction Industry Council are in the process of running a built environment photography competition to celebrate their 25th Anniversary. The competition is split into three categories:
1. The changing face of construction: building the past 25 years
2. Visualising the future: what will UK 2050 look like?
3. Diversity in construction: aspirations of a generation
