Brands Hatch Fun Day/Photography Workshop – Sunday 24 May
Glyn Bareham is again hosting the above event. You can either book online beforehand to save a little, or on the gate on the day, seniors save more by paying at the gate, (no extra cost for anyone, only admission). If you don’t know Brands, go through the main gate keep going straight ahead past the back of the grandstands and a row of shops, when you get to the end you will see a building (the Kentagon) in front of you, the group will be meeting in front of this, most years 50 or so people turn up so you should have no trouble seeing them with photography bags etc. no need to let Glyn know you are going, just turn up! Kent Garden Show, Kent Showground, Detling, Maidstone, ME14 3JF – Saturday 23 to Monday 25 May. 9:30am to 5:00pm – adults £7.00, seniors £6.00, children free – no dogs. Tickets available on the gate. A wide selection of plants, sundries, floral displays, feature gardens, expert forums, food hall, demonstrations, crafts, quiz time, brass band, flower competition, etc. etc.
Annual Exhibition
Our AE finishes on Wednesday 27 May so if you are free please come along in the morning and help dismantle the exhibition.

Canterbury Photographic Society are holding their Annual Exhibition at St. Peters Methodist Church Hall, St. Peters Street, Canterbury CT1 2HD on Saturday 23 May from 10:00am to 4:30pm.

The London Photograph Fair, Two Temple Place, Fleet Street, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May
Special edition in conjunction with Photo London
This boutique-style photograph fair will take over the neo-gothic mansion with unique displays by international dealers for this special weekend edition. Focusing on vintage photos, this two-day event presents everything from rare daguerreotypes and early salt prints to original film and fashion images. Celebrating a range of photography from the 1840’s through the 20th Century, this fair has something for every collector, whether aficionado or novice with prices starting at £50 and rising to the thousands.
Forthcoming Outings
Saturday 13 June – Medieval Fair at Faversham by train. If you would like to come along please let me know by e-mail. We will be meeting outside Bromley South Station at 9:45 am to catch the 9:58 train to Faversham. A weekend-long Medieval Fair celebrating Faversham’s involvement in the Magna Carta 800th anniversary. Held in Faversham’s historic town centre there will be re-enactments, tournaments, birds of prey, battles, plays, a medieval camp, music, dancing, juggling, stalls, food and plenty of hands-on crafts and activities. The town will come alive with street decorations, period dress and medieval music, market stalls and lovely independent shops and restaurants, with plenty of delicious food and drink.
Saturday 4 July – River Festival at Chatham by train. If you would like to come along please let me know by e-mail. Chatham Waterfront is the place to be on 4 July, when yachts and sailing vessels of every kind will join together for the Medway River Festival. There will be river displays and races running all day, along with food stalls, exhibitions and live music. And don’t forget there is also the historic dockyard.
Friday 7 to Monday 10 August – Portsmouth weekend.
