Thursday 29 April – Awards Evening 

Winners, Runners-up and Highly Commended images selected by our judge, Andy Smith LRPS CPAGB, who will comment on how he chose them.

Thursday 6 May

We will be having a Zoom meeting showing those images not awarded certificates or highly commended by the judge, but selected to be in the virtual exhibition.

KCPA PDI Exhibition 2021

Please see link for full details. Entries need to be submitted before 30 April. Any images selected will be shown on a YouTube exhibition. Please submit your own images and payment direct to KCPA. If you have previously asked to have your images carried before from 2020, Tracy Hughes will email them directly.

Thursday Outside Meetings

Please note, images taken at any of the outings below can be used for the 2021/22 Kerri and Steinberger cups. Relevant images that you take during the evenings may also be used for the 2021 summer project if they fit the theme of “Anything Old or Forgotten”. 

Thursday 13 May – Kelsey Park 

Meet near Kelsey Park Café/the tennis courts at 7pm. Parking available on Manor Way and Stone Park Avenue. Table(s) will then be booked at The George Inn’s beer garden from 8pm (subject to space available!). Please email Charlotte (Charlotte.Teager@outlook.com) if you wish to join and also let her know if you would like a place at the pub afterwards. 

Thursday 3 June – Photo Scavenger Hunt 

Meet at 7pm outside the USC to collect the photo challenge and meet your teams, which will be assigned as members arrive. Tables then booked at a local pub at 8pm. Please email Charlotte if you wish to join the scavenger hunt and also let her know if you would like a place at the pub afterwards. 

Thursday 1 July – Floral Photography at Jeff’s House  

Jeff has kindly agreed to let us photograph his beautiful garden. Meet from 7pm at 24 Stone Road, Bromley. The club will provide drinks and snacks for everyone. Please email Charlotte if you wish to join.  

Thursday 5 August – Keston Ponds/Common 

Meet in the Keston Ponds car park at 7pm. Table(s) will then be booked at The Greyhound’s beer garden from 8pm (subject to space available!). Please email Charlotte if you wish to join and also let her know if you would like a place at the pub afterwards. 

Tulip Festival – Hampton Court Palace – on now and until Monday 3 May 

Hampton Court Palace is planting over 100,000 bulbs in their gardens for their first Tulip Festival. They are already famous for spring bulbs but this year they are going even bigger. You’ll see spectacular displays of tulips throughout the formal gardens and also in the courtyards. The Lower Orangery Garden will host a display of over 60 rare historic and specialist varieties, direct from the Netherlands. Cost £15, the price is for entry to all the gardens and park.

Treasurer/Membership Secretary

At our September 2021 AGM the Committee will have a vacancy for the role of Treasurer and Membership Secretary. These roles are currently combined into a single one but if anyone would be interested in taking on either or both of these roles could you please speak to a Committee member. The current Treasurer would be willing to shadow you for the first year. 

General Secretary 

At the next AGM I will be retiring from the Executive Committee which means we will also have a vacancy for the General Secretary role.  I will, of course, be able to shadow you for the first year. If you would be interested in taking on this role please speak to me.
