What’s on at the Club tonight and soon
Tonight we will be welcoming Bryon Huson who will be presenting “East of Budapest”. It is also hand in for Round 3 of the PDI competition, which will be judged by Jeff Royce next week. And if you are interested in joining the next Club outing on 16 February please put your name on the list on the Club’s noticeboard.
Things to do this weekend
Something for train spotters – steam train to pass through South London 12:00 noon – 9:00 pm
The 35028 Clan Line steam locomotive will make one of its periodic lunchtime tours around South London — which can be something to look out for if near the route.

Chelsea Physic Garden – Snowdrops Days – Saturday 8 February to Sunday 16 February 2014 – 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Every year in February the Chelsea Physic Garden celebrates a snowdrop extravaganza. Come and discover dozens of fascinating types on the Snowdrop Trail and on display in the Snowdrop Theatre. A wide selection of snowdrops and other winter-flowering plants, from specialist nurseries, will also be on sale. Take a free guided tour, visit the Shop for garden-related gifts and enjoy brunch, a warming stew or mulled wine at the Tangerine Dream Café. In addition to free guided tours with our guides, there will also be a variety of other walks, talks and workshops. Cost £9.90.

The Club has arranged two dates for the club to use Lime Photographics, 24 Hayes Street, Hayes (opposite the Old George) on Tuesday 4 March 2:00 to 4:00 pm and Tuesday 18 March 8:00 to 10:00 pm. It will cost £50 for 2 hours and will accommodate 5 people each time. (i.e. £10 each). Michael, the owner, will look into finding a model for us, for which there will be a small extra charge. There will be a poster and more details on the Club’s noticeboard tonight so if you are interested please put your name down, as the studio only holds 5 it will be on a first come first served basis.

Photography Exhibitions
Bailey’s Stardust at The National Portrait Gallery starts 8 February until 1 June. This is a landmark exhibition of portraits by David Bailey featuring over 250 images personally selected and printed by him as captured throughout his career, some famous, somme anonymous but all of them unforgettable.
Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize at The National Portrait Gallery last chance to see ends on 9 February.
Annual Exhibition
Just a reminder that hand in for the Annual Exhibition is on Thursday 6 March, entries will be accepted until 13 March but that is the final deadline. Members may enter up to nine images of any subject in each eligible class. Entry forms will be available at the Club shortly. Entries will be divided into the following Exhibition Classes.
EC 1: Advanced Monochrome Print, EC 2: Intermediate Monochrome Prints, EC 3: Preliminary Monochrome Prints
EC 4: Advanced Colour Prints, EC 5: Intermediate Colour Prints EC 6: Preliminary Colour Prints,
