THIS WEEK AT THE CLUB 
Thursday 5 May – Summer project briefing
Each year, we split into teams and are given a theme to focus our photography on. Each team will then build a presentation video to share at the first meeting of the new season in September. This week at the club, we will organise the teams and find out this year’s theme.

THURSDAY OUTINGS OVER THE SUMMER BREAK

Over the summer, we will be organising a few informal outings in the local area. Please save the following dates, and let Charlotte (secretary@bromleycameraclub.org.uk) know if you’d like to attend any of them: Thursday 26 May: Photo treasure hunt in Bromley, followed by pub TBC. Thursday 2 June, 7pm – 10pm: Platinum Jubilee Beacon Lighting Ceremony at Crystal Palace Park. Please book your ticket here (free of charge).  Thursday 14 July: Keston Ponds followed by pub TBC. Friends and family are welcome to join any of the outings above.     

OUTINGS
Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 May – East Kent weekend
Stopping off in Blean Woods to see (hopefully!) Exmoor ponies, longhorn cattle and bison as well as bluebells, we will then head to the East Kent coast to capture sunset and/or sunrise by the sea. There will also be time to explore seaside towns like Margate, Broadstairs or Ramsgate or nature reserves like Sandwich & Pegwell Bay. Accommodation will be at Ramsgate’s Seafront Travelodge. 

Saturday 18 June – Broadstairs Dickens Festival 
A Victorian-themed festival celebrating the relationship between Charles Dickens and the town of Broadstairs, with plenty of people dressed up and ready for photos! We will car-share for this event so please let Charlotte know if you are willing to drive or if you need a lift. More information on the event can be found here. 

Saturday 9 July – Kent County Show
Tickets are £19.50 and can be booked via this link. Please book for Saturday 9 July if you want to attend with other members.
