I’m repeating the programme for the first few weeks for your info.
| 9 September | Member presentations of the Summer Project Plus meet and greet with new/prospective members and enjoy a welcome back drink from the Committee members. It is also hand in for the Summer Star PDI competition. Entries to be submitted to Brian, the PDI secretary (pdisecretary@bromleycameraclub.org.uk) on or before 9 September. Late entries may be disallowed. |

| 7 October | Presentation – “Mono Processing Live!” with Joe Houghton The October 7 presentation will be an interactive evening where Joe Houghton will edit members’ images live during the evening using Lightroom and possibly Silver FX Pro. We therefore need at least 12 members to each send 2 images to: programsec@bromleycameraclub.org.uk. The first image should be an original RAW file and the second should the same image that has been edited and converted to black and white as a final jpeg – this jpeg should ideally be an image that has been entered in a past PDI or print competition, although this isn’t compulsory. Joe will then apply his editing expertise to the original RAW file and compare his results to the members’ final images. Which hopefully will throw up some interesting comparisons, help members with their post processing in the future and promote some good discussion. It is also hand in for PDI Competition Round 1 |
Reduction in Subscriptions for one year only to £45.00 from £60.00
You will have seen in the papers for the AGM I recently sent out that Item 7 of the Agenda reads “To approve on an advisory basis the level of annual subscriptions for 2021/2022 at £45 for one year only”. I can’t see members not approving this reduction, why would anyone want to pay £60 instead of £45?

Brighton Museum & Art Gallery‘s acclaimed Bowie show
The show was due to close this summer but has been extended until January 2022 to allow fans to see the amazing collection of photographs by David Bowie’s close friend and travelling companion Geoff MacCormack between 1973-76.
From Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane and the ground-breaking Diamond Dogs’ tour across the USA, Japan and the UK via Russia (on the Trans Siberian Express) to Bowie’s first major film The Man Who Fell to Earth, and the recording of Station to Station, this exhibition of intimate photographs, gives a glimpse of a close friendship, and life on the road with one of the greatest rock stars of all time.
