Congratulations to all of the winners! OUTINGS OVER THE SUMMER BREAK Over the summer, there will be a few informal outings in the local area and a couple that are further afield. Please save the following dates, and let Charlotte (secretary@bromleycameraclub.org.uk) know if you’d like to attend any of them: Thursday 26 May – Photo treasure hunt in Bromley Meet outside the USC at 7pm to find your treasure hunt team and then make your way around Bromley taking the required photos before meeting at the Artful Duke at 8pm for dinner/drinks. Thursday 2 June – Platinum Jubilee Beacon Lighting Ceremony Crystal Palace Park. Please book your ticket here (free of charge). The event runs from 7pm-10pm. Saturday 18 June – Broadstairs Dickens Festival A Victorian-themed festival celebrating the relationship between Charles Dickens and the town of Broadstairs, with plenty of people dressed up and ready for photos! We will car-share for this event so please let Charlotte know if you are willing to drive or if you need a lift. More information on the event can be found here. Thursday 14 July – Keston Ponds followed by pub TBC. Saturday 9 July – Kent County Show Tickets are £19.50 and can be booked via this link. Please book for Saturday 9 July if you want to attend with other members. SUMMER PROJECT This year’s summer project theme is ‘Water’. If you’d like to join a team, please contact Clive (programsec@bromleycameraclub.org.uk). Photos must have been taken since 5 May 2022 and each team will put together a presentation of their images, ready to show at our first meeting back in September. |
