What’s on at the Club tonight and soon

 

Tonight will be a member’s evening in two parts. The first half will be Angela and Roger Ford’s prints from their exhibition Movement and Moment, People and Places. The second half will be a projected image talk/discussion entitled ‘Impressions of Arles 2013’ based on Angela and Roger’s visit to the Recontres d’Arles, which is a month long celebration of photography held each year.

 

Tonight is also hand in for the Kerri Cup competition. This is a one class competition for prints which have been taken on a Club outing which have not been shown on previous Steinberger or Kerri Cup competitions. You are allowed to enter 4 images which must have been taken during the last 14 months. Details of eligible dates were listed in last week’s Newsletter.

 

Next week will be the Kerri Cup competition (prints from Club outings) and will be judged by Malcolm Dilloway (CPAGB).

KCPA Diamond Jubilee Competition

 

There were a total of 31 clubs entered with a total of 248 images. These Images have now all been marked by the judge, Mr Walter Benzie ARPS, Vice-President of the Royal Photographic Society, and the allowed 5 Merit Awards / Premier Award have been selected by him. In addition to identifying the winning images he has selected and agreed to talk about one image from each of the clubs who entered the competition and will comment on these images at the event on the 8th March (West Faversham Community Centre, Bysing Wood Road, Faversham, ME15 7RH). Mr Benzie will also be commenting on anther selection of images including the top scoring images as well as the Merit / Premier Award winning photographs.

 

It should be a very enjoyable and informative afternoon with plenty of constructive and informative information being provided. Why not come along and see a great selection of images that have been submitted by the clubs that entered and listen to what the Judge has to say.
