Depart from St Marks Place, Bromley South at 8:30am

Family visitors flying kites by the South Foreland Lighthouse, Kent, on a sunny day in August.

First stop will be South Foreland Lighthouse (£6 entry for non-NT members). The more energetic members will then have the option to walk (2 miles) along the cliff tops to The White Cliffs of Dover visitor centre (National Trust) where we will stop for the fabulous views over Dover Harbour and to explore the chalk grassland habitat and the coffee shop. Around lunchtime we will make the short coach journey to Dover Castle, which has many interesting features, from a Roman lighthouse through to the furnished medieval Great Tower and the secret wartime tunnels. Entry to the Castle for non- English Heritage members is £18.30. We will depart Dover Castle at 5:00pm, and will arrive back in Bromley around 6.30 pm.

There are a maximum 16 places on the coach and the cost (coach only) is £25 per person payable by 23 March. Please sign up on the notice board at a club meeting or email stevejones35@gmail.com, or both.  At the date of this newsletter there is only one place left on the coach, but if you are interested please put your name down in case any members drop out at the last moment.
